Point & visual feedback

Visitors can click an element or drag a region anywhere on the page. The widget captures that area in the browser, masks sensitive fields, and attaches it to the message or files it as feedback.

Visitors point at the page and send a screenshot. Walkthrough: Collect visual feedback

Two ways to point#

Point works before the chat is even open. Click an element, or drag a rectangle anywhere. Both show a dashed outline before you confirm.

Hover the mock page and click a block to point at it.

Captured in the browser, masked before upload#

The capture module loads only when a visitor starts a selection. It renders the area to an image in the browser with no screen-share prompt. Form inputs, password fields and anything marked data-mango-mask are blurred, and the visitor previews the shot and can remove it before sending.

Metadata travels with it: URL, CSS selector path, element text, selection box, viewport and device. If capture fails (cross-origin images, iframes), the metadata still goes and the visitor can attach an image file instead. Each image can be up to 2 MB, with 3 per message.

Give feedback mode and the feedback board#

Give feedback files a feedback item instead of starting a chat. It has a type (question, design, bug, idea, praise), an optional rating, and no AI reply. The team triages items on the feedback board with thumbnails, statuses (new, triaged, planned, done, won't do), assignees and duplicate grouping by selector and page.
